We have a DOUBLE objection! This has to be the most exciting event of the day. It appears that Sam Jr whispered the first objection, then, maybe 15 seconds later, Sam Sr objected--with more force. It was sustained, but once again, I have no clue what they're objecting about. Maybe hollering something like "leading the witness!" is yet another tv convention. I saw a couple heads perk up out of a deep slumber. Even Judge Zagel wasn't sure who called out the first objection. Sam Sr says it wasn't him. Zagel admonishes them to have one lawyer speak up at a time. He says, "but I'll allow it this time." So judgy.
Breaking News: Blago was aiming for a 2016 Presidential bid. This is news to me! Boy, we are far, far away from a Presidency, let alone an ambassadorship. It's almost sad. John Harris explains how he and Blago were laying the groundwork by figuring out ways to meet potential campaign donors. They called these chats "war-gaming." I wish I had someone to wargame with. I would get so much shit done with a chief of staff.
Too bad Patti has her back to me. Sometimes she turns so I can see her expressions as she reacts to the testimony. She's completely silent and isn't gesturing, but her eyebrows say it all! I'm unfamiliar with her as a "reality star." If I watched "I'm a Celebrity" I'd probably be really stoked that I'm a couple rows away from her. So... when is her trial? Homegirl has her hand in all of this.
The Trial of the Century can't always be this boring. If Rod gets his way and testifies, I'm SO there. So will you. Thanks for reading!
